Vietnam Dominates Indonesia, Seizes Group Lead in ASEAN Championship
The Vietnam national football team, under the guidance of coach Kim Sang-sik, delivered a commanding 3-0 victory over Indonesia in their third group stage match of the 2026 ASEAN Championship Hyundai Cup. This decisive away win, played at Indonesia’s Pakansari Stadium, propelled Vietnam to the top of Group A.
The triumph on October 3rd, Korean time, marked a significant moment for Vietnam. They now boast seven points, accumulated from an earlier 7-0 victory against East Timor and a goalless draw with Singapore. This impressive goal difference of ten allowed them to surpass Singapore, who also has seven points but a goal difference of three, to claim the top spot.
