Hwang In-beom Nears FC Porto Move with Agreement Reached
South Korean national team midfielder Hwang In-beom is on the verge of joining Portuguese giants FC Porto. Reports from Portugal indicate that a fundamental agreement has been reached between Porto and Feyenoord for Hwang's transfer, with a reported fee of 5 million euros, approximately 8.5 billion Korean Won.
The move is expected to finalize soon, with Hwang anticipated to arrive in Porto for a medical examination and to sign a contract. Sources suggest he is scheduled to arrive on Sunday evening, Portugal time, or Monday afternoon, Korean time, to complete the necessary steps.
The proposed contract is a three-year deal, including an option for an additional year. Previous reports also mentioned a potential annual salary of 3 million euros, which would amount to roughly 1.5 million euros after taxes.
Hwang’s career has seen him play for various clubs, starting with Daejeon Citizen in the K League 1, followed by stints at Vancouver Whitecaps, Olympiacos, and Red Star Belgrade, before joining Feyenoord in 2024. Despite dealing with injuries, he has made an impact whenever he’s been on the pitch.
