Orioles Power Past Tigers in Series Opener as Squirrel Steals Show

Baltimore’s offensive surge was led by Leody Taveras, Coby Mayo, and Tyler O’Neill, each contributing a long ball. Mayo’s two-run shot in the fifth inning off reliever Brenan Hanifee extended the Orioles’ lead to 7-3, marking his 14th homer of the season. This strong showing moved the Orioles to within two games of the third American League Wild Card spot as of the conclusion of the game.
