Braves Bolster Rotation with Mahle Acquisition from Giants
The Atlanta Braves have reportedly acquired starting pitcher Tyler Mahle from the San Francisco Giants, adding another veteran arm to their pitching staff. This move, which comes ahead of Monday's trade deadline, sees right-hander Anthony Molina heading to San Francisco.
Mahle brings a 3-9 record and a 5.13 ERA through 18 starts in the current 2026 season. His addition follows the Braves’ earlier acquisition of Bailey Falter, signaling a clear intent to deepen their pitching depth.
In return for Mahle, the Giants receive right-hander Anthony Molina. Molina has made limited appearances in the Major Leagues this season, pitching five innings across three games. While neither team has officially confirmed the transaction, multiple reports indicate the deal is in place.
