Hanwha’s Kang Baek-ho Sidelined with Oblique Injury
Hanwha Eagles slugger Kang Baek-ho, currently leading the league in RBIs, has been removed from the active roster due to an oblique muscle injury. The team announced his move to the injured list following a recurring issue.
Kang’s recent contribution came on July 19th at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon, where he delivered a crucial RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning during a game against Kiwoom, with runners on first and second. This injury mirrors one that ended his 2023 postseason while playing for KT Wiz, occurring after a powerful swing, and has forced him off the field multiple times since.
The specific nature of the injury is a lesion to the external oblique muscle, a persistent problem for Kang.
