Choi Won-jun’s Heroics Lead KT Wiz to Fourth Straight Win
The KT Wiz secured their fourth consecutive victory, narrowing the gap with the second-place LG Twins, thanks in part to a pivotal three-run home run by Choi Won-jun. The game also saw Logan earn his first win in ten months, contributing to the team’s strong start to the second half of the season.
Earlier in the day, actress Ha Ji-won threw out the ceremonial first pitch for the LG Twins vs. KT Wiz game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. Wearing an LG uniform, she expressed her hopes for a “home run” and victory for the LG Twins.
Despite her practice, Ha Ji-won’s pitch hit KT’s lead-off batter, Choi Won-jun, in the hip. Choi, a long-time fan of the actress, took the hit in stride, even admitting he was too shy to tell her he was a fan when they took a photo together before the game. He mentioned her pitch was quite fast.
Choi Won-jun’s personal life is also on an upward swing, as he awaits the birth of his first daughter next month, a new chapter that has reportedly influenced him to temper his previously sensitive personality, reflecting on his wife’s struggles last year.
